ABOUT US-MEXICO TEAM
The US-Mexico Training in Environment, Agriculture, and Management (TEAM) is funded by the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Program of the US State Department and the Babbitt Center for Land and Water Policy.
Four graduate student teams from Arizona State University and Instituto Tecnologico de Sonora are collaborating on projects that have three components: research, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination. With the goal of effecting change, student teams and faculty mentors seek input from a wide audience to improve water and fertilizer management, reduce inequality and vulnerability, and explore future careers in resource management.
OUR BINATIONAL MISSION
To Water is life. Food is life. Let's make them endure in the Sonoran Desert.
TOGETHER WE DISCOVER
Through research and development activities, we aim to identify how natural resources can be more effectively used to produce food and fiber, while reducing environmental and climate impacts.
|
TOGETHER WE EDUCATE
Our work does not end in an academic setting, as we work to learn from and disseminate information to the agricultural communities along the US-MX border.
|
TOGETHER WE CHANGE
Legacies in agricultural systems are hard to change. Join us in finding ways to make meaningful impacts that will sustain agriculture in the Sonoran Desert for decades to come.
